Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are relatively inexpensive and are efficient means to prevent dental caries.  These thin plastic coatings are painted on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth.  Fluoride in toothpaste and in drinking water protects the smooth surfaces of teeth but back teeth need more protection.
